Santa
Gabby met a very special person today - Santa Claus. She was very intrigued by his beard and even took a little bit with her as we tried to pull her off his lap...oops!! She is busy counting down the days until Santa makes a stop by her house - how exciting!

7 Months
Gabby turned 7 months old on November 25th! She is still working on her bottom 2 teeth, but they seem to move up a little each day. We've been very lucky with the whole teething milestone - she is a little fussy from time to time...but nothing terrible. I've heard horror stories about teething, so I'm relieved that we've had it so easy! She is army crawling everywhere and gets up on her hands and knees frequently to rock back and forth...so we're thinking crawling is in our immediate future. Time to baby-proof our home!
Brandon and I spent 8 days in Mexico over Thanksgiving. It was a great trip - but very hard to be away from the baby! We spent most of our days laying by the pool, we went to the ecological park - Xcaret and into the town of Playa Del Carmen...but other than that we enjoyed doing absolutely nothing! We will be going back to Playa in exactly one year for a wedding, so we kept saying "In a year from now, we'll be leaving 2 babies"!!
We decorated for Christmas before we left, and finished by putting up the tree when we returned! It's both Brandon and I's favorite Holiday and we're excited to share it with Gabby.
Happy Holidays!

6 Months Old & A Big Sister to be!!
Gabby turned 6 months old on October 25th and we're happy to announce she'll be a BIG SISTER next April!

Brandon and I are very excited to be able to contribute another red-headed baby to this world! We're currently 4 months along and very, very excited!
Today it was a nice 63 degrees here - and for the 1st day of November in Iowa, that's pretty darn good! We went to the pumpkin patch with Gabby...I kept telling Brandon "next year, this experience will be A LOT different"! Gabby enjoyed looking at the animals and all of the other people that were there.
Gabby celebrated her 1st Halloween this year - she was a cute little Kitten!
Brandon turns the BIG 3-0 next Sunday - so we're celebrating this milestone and our 2nd Anniversary by taking a trip to Mexico over Thanksgiving. 20 days and counting!

5 + Months...
I've obviously been WAY behind on updating our blog. The end of the summer/beginning of Fall has be super busy around here. Gabby is doing great, growing like a weed and eating everything in sight. I think teething is in our new future as we put EVERYTHING in our mouth and I mean everything. We are working hard on sitting up and just LOVE LOVE LOVE to watch Kinnick. Did you know that he is HILARIOUS?!
Grandma Dawn has been watching Gabby all week while Robyn enjoy's a well deserved week of vacation. Gabby is having WAY too much fun and I think has napped a total of 3 hours the entire week. Ahhhhh, Grandparents!!
Brandon's parents were in town this past week to celebrate Ryker's 1st Birthday. It was a great day for a great little boy.

4 Months!
Gabby turned 4 months old on Tuesday, August 25th! She has changed so much over the past month. Some major milestones are rolling...we mastered rolling over last month and now we just ROLL. We roll across the room to get a toy, we roll in circles for fun...we love to roll. Gabby has also started rolling over in her crib at night and therefore sleeping on her stomach. This is a bit scary for mom and dad, but it's what she prefers so we're getting better with it. There were many "peeks" at night to make sure we could see her breathing, it was like she was a newborn all over again!

Last week Gabby tried Rice Cereal for the first time....and, she definietely didn't hesitate showing us her dis-like for the taste of it! We tried oatmeal the next night and that went over much better. At her 4 month check-up, we were given the A-ok to start her on solid foods - so this week she has been eating her first food - pears. So far, so good. She was very quick to catch onto the spoon concept and is now squealing for more in between each bite!!

Darcy was able to come visit for 3 weeks this past month. It was very nice to have her here and fun for her to be able to spend some quality time with Gabby. It was sad to see her leave, but her and Jeff will be back in October for Ryker's 1st Birthday!

Lazy Summer Nights...
Gabby will be 4 months old on Tuesday and will go see Dr. White next Friday. Daddy still isn't sure he can come - not because he's busy - but rather because he doesn't think he can handle seeing Gabby get her immunization shots. So, it looks like mom will be flying solo, once again! That's o.k. - I can be tough for both of us. She did fine with the shots at her 3 month check-up, so I dont anticipate any big disaster..knock on wood!
Here are some pictures from "story time" tonight.

SO Funny!
We finally caught a laugh on camera! At some points she cant decide whether to laugh or cry...and you'll see she's an EXPERT at the "bottom lip" pout! Enjoy!

3 Months!
Gabby is 3 months old! We have marked many baby milestones in this past month. We now are sleeping through the night, talking a lot more, smiling all the time and most recently - rolling over!
Gabby started going to "daycare"/Aunt Robyn's house 2 weeks ago. At first it was extremely hard, but (like everyone said) it gets easier and easier every day. I still have an immense amount of guilt for not staying home, but I know that with both of us working we will be able to give our children all that we ever had and hopefully TONS more!
We recently went to the doctor because we decided that Gabby spits up a little more than the average baby - Dr. White determined she has a bit of acid refulx but for the most part is just a "pukey kid"! I guess the only good thing is this gives me an excuse to change her clothes all the time! At the doctor she weighed 12.3 lbs. Growing, Growing, Growing!
I have a lot of pictures to share from this past month.....enjoy!!
