Baby Update....

8 weeks and counting! And if these next 8 weeks go as fast as the past 8 months have gone...holy moly are we in trouble!

We had an ultrasound on Wednesday and she's weighing around 3 lbs 11 oz which is 3 oz over the "norm" for a baby at this stage. I wanted to explain to the ultrasound tech that we generally don't follow any sort of "norm" in the Williams' house so as long as we've got the standard 2 arms, 2 legs...etc - I consider this to be a good thing. Needless to say - mom hasn't missed many meals which may account for the extra 3 ozs for her and the extra layer of "warmth" for me!

SHOCKING NEWS** She actually has some hair! Now - this is AMAZING news considering I was bald until I was like 2 and Brandon is still struggling with producing an amble amount of hair at age 29!

The tech said she has big feet (thank you Brandon) and a very long femur bone...which she then explained would mean she would probably be a L-O-N-G baby. I wanted to be like: "Really?...you needed an ultrasound to tell you that?. I probably could've filled you in at about 2:30 a.m. last night when I had 2 L-O-N-G feet permanently lodged in my rib cage". Whatever.

She has freaking enormous cheeks. I started getting a little concerned towards the end because the tech just kept saying how chubby her cheeks were. At first I was like: "Sweet, she'll be a cute, fat baby"...but then towards the end I was like: "Is she going to look like the Marshmallow Man from the Ghostbusters Movies?" I guess we'll see!!

All in all...everything is great. She is right on track and is officially head-down...and from what I hear things go a BIT smoother come D-day should gravity be working on your side :). It amazes me that in 8 short weeks all of this pregnancy stuff will be OVER and we'll have a BABY. I keep thinking "I can't even tie my own shoes right now and someone thinks I should provide love, security and a fulfilling LIFE to something?!". HA! Should be fun!!
