3 weeks!

Gabby is 3 weeks old today! It's amazing how much your life can change in just 21 days! She is doing really well - the last time we took her to the doctor she weighed 7.7 lbs - and that was over a week ago...so hopefully she's bigger now.

She has her days and nights pretty much figured out (knock on wood). She usually eats around 11:00/Midnight and will get up once in the night (3:00/4:00), so we can't complain about that!

Brandon had two weeks off when she was first home, but went back to work this week. It was hard being without him and both mom and Gabby definitely missed having him here! On that note, I officially survived my first week alone with her :) We kept ourselves busy...she even had her first "play date" with Luke Henely (my friend Jessica's baby). Luke was born 2 days after Gabby and Jessica and I are convinced they are going to be the best of friends.

Today we are going to my cousin McKenzie's wedding. It will be fun to dress Miss. Gabby up in her P-A-R-T-Y dress! We're looking forward to the wedding and wish McKenzie and Jessie all the best...

Many of you have asked about Kinnick and how he is doing with this whole experience. He is doing really good for the most part, he has mastered the art of sitting on his bed and pouting. He accompanies this pouting with momentary deep sighing, just so you remember he's here and your (yet again) not paying attention to him. He smells Gabby, and then doesn't really want a whole lot to do with her. Surprisingly he's been good about not taking her things and running crazed around our house. I was afraid we'd have many moments of him thinking we were playing tug of war with her blanket and me wanting to strangle him with said blanket. But, so far - so good. He still gets his nightly "Dad" time, so that seems to tide him over during the day. To sum it all up - he's adjusting. Slowly.....

Below are some pictures of the little lady! Enjoy!

37 Weeks or...Full Term!

I have so much to "blog" about...a wonderful baby shower, Brandon finding out he will graduate with honors (Cum Laude), a finished nursery...etc. However, this post will be short and sweet until I can get some pictures uploaded to help tell my lovely stories.

Today marks 37 weeks and I am officially "full term". While I have a feeling this little darling is pretty content, we do know it could technically be anytime now that we will get to meet her!

More updates to come soon....

Baby Update....

8 weeks and counting! And if these next 8 weeks go as fast as the past 8 months have gone...holy moly are we in trouble!

We had an ultrasound on Wednesday and she's weighing around 3 lbs 11 oz which is 3 oz over the "norm" for a baby at this stage. I wanted to explain to the ultrasound tech that we generally don't follow any sort of "norm" in the Williams' house so as long as we've got the standard 2 arms, 2 legs...etc - I consider this to be a good thing. Needless to say - mom hasn't missed many meals which may account for the extra 3 ozs for her and the extra layer of "warmth" for me!

SHOCKING NEWS** She actually has some hair! Now - this is AMAZING news considering I was bald until I was like 2 and Brandon is still struggling with producing an amble amount of hair at age 29!

The tech said she has big feet (thank you Brandon) and a very long femur bone...which she then explained would mean she would probably be a L-O-N-G baby. I wanted to be like: "Really?...you needed an ultrasound to tell you that?. I probably could've filled you in at about 2:30 a.m. last night when I had 2 L-O-N-G feet permanently lodged in my rib cage". Whatever.

She has freaking enormous cheeks. I started getting a little concerned towards the end because the tech just kept saying how chubby her cheeks were. At first I was like: "Sweet, she'll be a cute, fat baby"...but then towards the end I was like: "Is she going to look like the Marshmallow Man from the Ghostbusters Movies?" I guess we'll see!!

All in all...everything is great. She is right on track and is officially head-down...and from what I hear things go a BIT smoother come D-day should gravity be working on your side :). It amazes me that in 8 short weeks all of this pregnancy stuff will be OVER and we'll have a BABY. I keep thinking "I can't even tie my own shoes right now and someone thinks I should provide love, security and a fulfilling LIFE to something?!". HA! Should be fun!!

Bragging!

We just got back from the mailbox - and what did we find? A letter to Brandon from the Dean of Students congratulating him on making the Dean's List for the 2008 Fall Academic Semester!! With work, a baby on the way, a semi-challenging pregnant wife and all of the other things he does...I'm in constant amazement on his dedication for school. But, as I've learned over our relationship - he never stops amazing me!
